Who doesn’t know the usually blue heralds of spring in local forests. The genus Hepatica is presented in a special show by the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation, the Munich-Nymphenburg Botanical Gardens and the Society of Friends of the Botanical Gardens. With its incredible variety of colors and shapes, the botanical species and a wealth of cultivars, especially from Japan. Breeding work and selection already have a 250-year tradition there. These Hepatica are reflecting the grace of living gems. For a weekend you have the opportunity to admire these botanical jewels in the Munich-Nymphenburg Botanical Gardens, with specialist lectures on Saturday afternoon in the lecture hall of the Botanical Institute. Expert advice is available to you throughout the exhibition and there is also the opportunity to purchase plants from the well-known specialist nurseries Jürgen and Susanne Peters and Andreas Handel.
