DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS
I grew up in a house in a small town along with my two older brothers and my pets. Occasionally, we had a litter of puppies, so I learnt to take care of animals in my childhood. In addition, I traveled a lot with my family and was thus able to gather many impressions and get to know a wide variety of cultures.

WHAT IS YOUR MEMORABLE MOMENT?
My most memorable moment was when my dog got puppies for the first time. My birthdays were also unforgettable because we always celebrated them with my whole family. I am also very environmentally conscious, due to many adventures in nature with my family.

ANY SPECIAL STORIES OR FACTS ABOUT YOUR FAMILY?
We have a big house with a big garden and are surrounded by a lot of nature. My parents are happily married. My dad is a police officer, and my mom works as an academic nursery teacher. I am very fond of animals because I grew up with dogs like Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs, rabbits, and a cat.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU HAVE EVER DONE?
To be honest I have not done many unusual things in my life, although I have successfully passed the entrance exam for police school.

WHAT TIPS CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE ECOTOURISM & CLIMATE CHANGE?
It is necessary not to interfere with wildlife, leaving animals alone and not scaring them.
Local communities should be supported, so staying in locally owned accommodation and buying things from local shops is important.
We must take care of environmental protection, for example by preserving the forests by planting as many trees as possible.
Finally, an important part of ecotourism is the promotion of recycling, energy efficiency, water conservation, and the creation of economic opportunities for local communities.

WHAT MAKES YOU PROUD OF YOUR COUNTRY?
Austria is one of Europe’s smaller countries, but also one of the richest and most stable in the EU. There are so many incredible things to explore in Austria -from fascinating cultural and historical sights to exciting hiking trails and amazing ski resorts. In Austria you will also find amazing scenery, beautiful valleys, and stunning mountain ranges, as well as lovely wine regions and national parks protecting diverse landscapes. Furthermore, many family-friendly activities, museums, and excursions are offered within Austria. I am particularly proud of Austria’s commitment to environmental protection, as there are a lot of people participating in environmental protection and animal welfare associations.

WHAT IS YOUR ADVOCACY?
My advocacy is planting trees to protect the wildlife and the environment. As the largest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilize the soil and shelter the world's wildlife. In cooperation with the Climate and Energy Region Lainsitztal, I have already created a so-called “forest of the future”, by planting trees together with children. I am planning further tree planting projects with the CEM and other organizations, especially where children and young people will be included to create environmental awareness.
